I am proudly from Henderson, Nevada. I recently began learning to play Jazz music on the Saxophone. On some weekends I fly fish for trout, but I usually catch vegetation. I play pick-up basketball so that I can cross people up. I love being a member of a research team and I hope to further pursue research through graduate school in a few years.

I am currently working on an Iodine-mediated C-H activation, C-N functionalization reaction. We hypothesize that this reaction has a similar mechanism to Mercury-mediated reactions previously studied by our group. We work to predict which complexes have the potential to be cost-effective and safe catalysts in the conversion of alkanes to more useful functionalized groups.
